Xi Jinping‘s Congratulatory Message to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump

On November 7, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Donald Trump on his election as President of the United States.

Xi Jinping noted that history shows us that cooperation benefits both China and the United States, while confrontation harms both. A stable, healthy, and sustainable U.S.-China relationship aligns with the shared interests of both countries and the expectations of the international community. He expressed hope that both sides would uphold the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, strengthen dialogue and communication, manage differences appropriately, and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
